Habersham fire burned two acres

HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga. – Habersham County E-911 dispatched units from Habersham County Emergency Services and Demorest Fire Department at 2 p.m. Tuesday to a woods fire at 2190 Cannon Bridge Road, Demorest.

Cornelia Fire Department units responded for mutual aid, along with the Georgia Forestry Commission.

The fire burned about two acres.

Units responding included Habersham County Emergency Services Med 12, Tanker 12, Brush 13, Tanker 13, and PIO, Demorest Engine 5 and Rescue 5, Cornelia Brush 22 and Engine 22, and a Georgia Forestry Commission plow and truck.

The fire was knocked down at 2:50 p.m.
